do you mind a phone call in the next ten minutes? i just casually mentioned it to dad and it seems like he likes the idea of having you around

That's fine with me.

[a phone call will come, immediately set in japanese and led by makoto's dad. he speaks a bit slowly for toushiro to be able to keep up--and makoto's a happy interpreter when needed.]

[it akes a few short minutes, to be honest; a few questions about what he likes, what he likes about the book shop in particular, and to name some qualities for himself. after his father hangs up, makoto's quick to text back toushiro.]

[ the good thing is, the questions are simple enough that toushiro can answer them. granted, his answers are still Basic, but he's hopefully delivered his point well enough to where it impresses makoto's father. ]
